Yes, an actual thread about business and investing. I talked to a guy at a local retro game shop that is going to be opening a barcade in about a year or 2 close to university that is fairly anti college in terms of jack shit for students to do besides hoping to not get noise complaints from partying too loud. Cant say Im passionate about the idea, but I know for a fact that it will eventually become a hit since recession or not, college kids have grant and loan money to spend.
How do I go about bringing up the idea of investing in this for a small percentage of annual profits? Im not going to throw in a whole lot either, maybe low 5 figures at the absolute most which of course is probably peanuts in terms of business investment, but Im seeing this as getting my feet wet for serious investing and not throwing parts of my paycheck at dying L1s.
This is just an idea for now and havent brought it up to him, but I talked to the guy and he has a bit over a dozen arcade cabinets that he and his partners or buddies restored, plus theyre thinking of either adding VR or full racing sim or both. I also know an online acquaintance ive known for years who has made a few custom arcade cabinets for businesses, which sounds like a longshot, but Im just spitballing ideas for whats feasible or not.

Out of the small number of people that actually know about crypto, there is a small subset of people that actually read the white papers or understand the basic functionality of blockchains or crypto in general. Its just another casino to get ahead in the rat race. Im not even sure if the people that "believe in the tech" still believe anymore.
