What I've said here is super optimal. You could probably run more workers than you have cores, since you can always assign a core to a docker/virtual box instance even though another uses it??? Not sure about this one, can someone confirm... Too lazy to start up virtual box.
But I'm 100% that on a 16 core processor you can have 8 workers running and you could still be able to watch a movie and maybe even play a game depending on the amount of work your workers do.

Oh, forgot to mention that you can also do work with your GPU. Since GPUs also provide computing power and GPUs provide a different set commands they can execute fast. Everything related to rendering is GPU work.

Yes, because everyone will be using the decentralized cloud sooner or later because it is cheaper than a centralized one. Why? Because maintaining and building data centers around the world to maintain that much computing power takes a lot of money. You on the other hand pay 0 maintenance for your computer, but you can still join the iExec RLC network as a worker in order to compute for other people

0 adoption so far, but the just released the adoption roadmap (https://trello.com/b/oSCT5z09/iexec-adoption-roadmap).). Also they're the eRLC sale is going to happen in February 2021. 1 eRLC = 1 RLC and companies can buy it in a regulated manner and use it for their needs. They got the AMF approval (AMF = french SEC) and are getting a US legal opinion soon (this is also in the adoption roadmap). And if AMF approves SEC will also, which means american companies like Intel, IBM, Ubisoft can start using it (Those 3 are already partnered with RLC).
