Eth is also inflationary at the moment (and the fact that the inflation rate can be changed on the whims of the devs is evidence of how centralized it is) btc is unironically digital gold. In the real world (not whatever corner of the internet you came crawling out of) nobody gives a fuck about smart contracts or web3 or whatever the fuck, they care about preserving their wealth in a time of rampant quantitative easing.
