>deliberately produce cheap quality
>stupid rich greedy western world companies produce cheap in China for max profit
>all products "Made in China" break after a month
>people buy and replace more products with "Made in China"
>People end up spending more money on cheap products that break easily on average instead of just buying better quality for a the same price which would last longer

This way China basically syphoned trillions of dollars out of the western world. By producing cheap products that would need to be replaced often. Greed and laziness led to this.
