It cannot be understated how big of a fuckup Chainlink's handling of the Celsius relationship has been. It is very apparent to anyone who was even halfway paying attention that the ties between these two entities are more than just a few "integration" tweets like many of Chainlink's other "partnerships". Chainlink's complete lack of acknowledgement on the meltdown is the type of response I would expect from an 8 year old. Any large institution who does even cursory due diligence on Link before deciding to do business with them is going to see this and it will at the very least make them second guess going forward.

Not to mention obviously the other things about the project they can't take seriously like hamburger events and Lady Luck. But those aside, this isn't just going to disappear, and eventually more investors and the public are going to ask the question of how deep does this relationship go? Link hired Celsius to manage their treasury, that is a fact. Smartcontract.com is listed as a creditor on Celsius court docs, that is a fact. Chainlink was planning on having Celsius be a big part of the initial use case for CCIP, that is a fact.

Before the cult starts screaming FUD, just take a moment and acknowledge that these events are reality. And lets also take a minute to ask some more questions... Given that Sergey and Ari are more entrenched in the crypto community than 99.9% of everyone else, did they really not know what Celsius was doing? And if they did, did they just look the other way because Celsius' activity in defi pumped up their usage stats ie TVL? If this is the case, does it change your opinion of this investment?
