It's not hyperinflation, just 3-4% "historically normal" inflation.

Hyperinflation comes with the next recession and stimulus measures.

To play devil's advocate, the world we know did not exist 100 years ago, and it's just as likely to exist in the next 100 years as not. Even the great city of Rome fell eventually. That's not to say the world is ending, but the future really is uncertain. Besides that, picrel for example suggests that the markets might in fact fizzle away in the next 20 years

Technically the market reopens around 175. At which point we all get in a race with the money printer.

> but if your competition jerks the devs/customers around
In other words, extracts higher profit margins? The winner can charge whatever they want within reason, the loser is left to pick up the scraps. To be fair, the loser could MAYBE make it up on volume if they have a massive and I mean massive capacity advantage. But that seems unlikely on small nodes.

Unless SPY plunges 150 points in the next two weeks, I think it's safe to say we averted the Krugman timeline.

>spy is still too damn high because boomer buy megacap instead of bonds.
Yes, but they'll hear on CNBC about "ooh, 5%! Safe and risk free!" and their two neurons will fire until they call their financial advisor and swap QQQ for TLT.

That's how we end the year at SPY 350.

Yes. Though obviously in a WW3 scenario, we'd have fun deflationary steps taken such as rationing and price controls on wages.

You're right: those are the only options. And, in fact, we'll get to enjoy all three.
