I'm glad you posted this, because it illustrates the real reason we can't have those things: people who think we can't have those things because of black people. Every stupid counterproductive socioeconomic policy decision that Americans have been subjected to for the past 175 years has been an attempt to placate implacable racists, the blood and treasure lost in doing so be damned.

It's true that we'll never have those things, because white people will never get to the point of forgiving themselves and quieting their hypertrophic amygdalae long enough to build them and see how nice life is with them, as long as there are black people to blame their despair on. Only in the hypothetical that we're gone and they see that it didn't fix shit will they address the actual issues.
