I genuinely cannot fathom why anyone would want residential real estate to appreciate in value. Your primary residence is not an investment. Rising real estate values only makes it more expensive to buy more and better housing. And it kills your intergenerational wealth because your kids will inherit unaffordable housing prices. Everyone loses in this except chinks and jews. My house could be 6000 square feet instead of 4000 square feet but you boomers are evil and short sighted.
