I'm in my final year of an accounting B.S. and I seriously don't think I can go into the career long-term. I've never been someone to cry about "tedious" or "boring" work, but I truly think I will hate my life because there is absolutely no thinking involved with this subject and it is so underwhelming and uninteresting; I'm still learning shit I learned in my first year as a senior, and I go to a well-known/prestigious school. I held on because there's a good job market and I thought it would get deeper/more interesting, but it's literally just rinsing and repeating the same basic shit.

Are the jobs as bad as the schooling? I have a scholarship so it feels like a mistake to change my major so close to graduating. Has anyone spun off into something thought-provoking or worthwhile after getting an accounting degree?
