Heres some protips from America:

take your shirt off, soak it in the sink, and put it back on. It will keep you cool for hours.

A desk fan is cheap and solves problems.

If its hotter inside than out make sure to open your windows.

Drinking icewater solves a lot of problems too.

At night gently mist your sheets with water and sleep under them. The evaporation will keep you cool. Put a giant boxfan near your bed to increase the effect.

If possible go downstairs. Heat rises. If you open your windows on both your upstairs and downstairs it will form a convection current that will draw your downstairs air upstairs.
