As far as fud goes, you need to have humility about what you know and what you dont know. For a lot of people, this is the hardest part because most people are arrogant retards. Its really not hard though. You just ask yourself "do I now what I'm talking about, and if not, is this amount I am investing safe for me?" It is okay to put some loose money in on a random shit coin gamble, but when you start putting in thousands, tens of thousands into something you have no idea about your investment becomes dangerous. This seems like common sense but I promise you for most people it isn't, and thats why there are so many scam threads here.

If you want to make money and dont know anything, invest in BTC. It is going to go up, and its going to go down again, maybe far enough that it could scare you. But just invest in it anyway, 50, 100 dollars a paycheck no matter what unless it is spiking during bull season. BTC will reach 100k at least. It is a very safe bet and if you are a patient investor not looking for an overnight win, it is one of the best investments anywhere right now. Most people know this, and thats why BTC gets ignored and not as talked about, because there is nothing left to say really.

As for projects to invest in, this is how I evaluate them

1. Are the goals realistic?

- Is it some lofty unobtainable goal like trying to replace money?
-Or is it something practical and necessary, such as a means of getting real world data onto the blockchain

2. Who is the leadership, is their word reliable or do they abuse their invstors with false hype?

-do the people running the project have a good track record?
-false hype such as announcements about announcements, consistently not living up to their timelines, etc.

3.Is it overvalued?

-Am I an early, medium, or late term investor in this project and how will effect my long term prospects with what I hope to achieve with my investment
