As someone who's been buying WKHS since below $1.50: it's probably because of all the hullabaloo over the past few days about Trump's appointee supposedly undermining the USPS.

The market has basically priced in a scenario where nobody gets the USPS deal. That's not really realistic. In reality the negotiations are going on as planned. Here's news from yesterday:

The lack of enthusiasm is causing a lack of volume. Smart investors are gradually accumulating as much as they can at $15.

In general I feel that stop losses hurt more than they help. It's less likely to save you money and more likely you're just going to get your shit snatched in a raid. You're just programming a computer to have paper hands for you.

Looking back at that analyst that raised WKHS to $26.

The analyst discounted the target based on perceived odds of WKHS actually getting the USPS deal. But with the news since he released his analysis, we can do better.

Joe Biden and Democrats have launched a new "Buy American" initiative, effectively stampeding to the economic right to try to salvage their election chances. They're obviously full of shit, but Donald Trump will be forced to take significant concrete Buy American action ASAP to keep the narrative on his side.

This virtually eliminates the Turkish and Indian companies from the running if you thought they even had a chance before, and narrows the choices to Workhorse EVs vs Oshkosh's contrarian internal-combustion entry.

Moving Forward Act Sec. 50001 finally provides the much-discussed $6 billion in funding for new vehicles for the USPS. But Sec. 50002 requires that at least 75% of the vehicles purchased be EVs.

That means rather than "50% chance WKHS wins 50% of the contract", we're looking at something much closer to "99% chance WKHS wins at least 75% of the contract". New armchair-analyst price target: $34.

Disclaimer: I have been long on WKHS for a year and hold 1200 shares at a $2.04 average, and boy would I really like this to come true.

Delivery is going to be MORE of a thing than ever. And the WKHS patent on mounted drones for faster last-mile delivery could go places if cities are willing to ease drone restrictions to maximize social distancing.

I don't know if it's ever going to be the next Tesla/Amazon full-retard-growth stock, but I can sure dream. They had a business model that looked good before the pandemic and somehow looks even better during the pandemic.

Workhorse is a long-term investment. You had ages to get in ultra-cheap and it's still not even anywhere close to topping off. It's going into the teens if the USPS news drops suddenly.

The deadline on USPS bids is 7/14/20. That's a $6.3 billion contract. 180,000 little Workhorses delivering to your home. It dwarfs everything they've done so far, and they're ready for it because of Lordstown. Workhorse is so confident in it that they bought out VT Hackney's stake in the project.
