GMX/GNS/etc... Aren't offering stocks, just synthetics, you don't actually own the asset (or a fraction of it), you own a contract about a bet that says "I bet X stock will go up and if it does you pay me, if it doesn't I pay you".

The legal system and regulations are lagging but it's definitely the future. Real estate is textbook completely illiquid.

Let's imagine that instead of buying a flat to become a landlord you could just buy a token representing 0.1% of a real estate DAO owning 10 000 of them. The moment you need the money you can just liquidate a part of your holdings in a few clicks instead of having to bother with putting the whole thing on the market, finding buyers, dealing with the tenant, notary, etc...

Not even talking about the economy of scale when it comes to insurance fees, maintenance, etc... It's like a condominium but on steroids.
