And even with a good degree many still don't get a job. There was some big stat about how most people don't even end up working in their field of study. All my friends from college are working in random shit, and some of them still don't even have real jobs yet (they are stuck waging as waiters while they apply) despite it being almost 3 years since graduation. This whole thing is dumb luck, I got lucky enough to have a full-ride and get a job in my field via nepotism.
