I've been hodling a single btc for 7+ years, feelsbadman not raking in the apy. I need to dump half of it into something stakable.

If you're young and have oneitis it will pass as you get older unless you have a severe mental disorder. I had oneitis from my late teens to probably my mid 20's. When you're that age, your hormones are raging and you can't think clearly when it comes to women. They have complete control over you. That's why the tide turns for most men as they get into their late 20's early 30's, when they are able to understand that they now have control of the reins and can actually put that mindset into practice because you aren't clouded by emotions and hormones anymore. It also helps as you watch in real-time as they get older, fatter, and uglier, and you yourself get more mature, and more handsome (if you take care of yourself). It's the ultimate feeling of redemption.

If you're young (under 25), it'll get better eventually and you'll look back and cringe that you let some cunt live in your mind rent free. But that's just a part of growing up as a man. Find a woman who can stand on her own merits, and marry her once your brain fully develops and can make rational decisions. Don't let some cunt take a shit on your heart just because she has big tits. She can only do that if you let her do it. This is all stuff that everyone inherently knows, but it's difficult to actually practice when you're young.

>We still call it capitalist because that's what it tried to be awhile ago

Capitalism is not an economic descriptor, it's a pejorative term used by Marx.

>Apparently nobody in this thread even knows what socialism is.

Bold words coming from someone who doesn't know what Capitalism is.

>If anything, the reason the welfare system is out of control and the laziest people in the country get gigantic handouts day in and day out is due to them feeling like OP's pic

I'm pretty sure most of the people on welfare today don't know who Steinbeck is, much less have the education to grasp the subtleties of deserving enfranchisement for being "shat out as a baby".

>America has tons of socialist qualities and tons of capitalist qualities

No it doesn't. It has some state-run economic institutions and many private institutions, which is why political scientists and economists designate it officially as a "Mixed-Market Economy", which is a bit further down the rung towards "Laissez Faire Economy" than "Socialism" which is closer on the spectrum to "Central Planning" but still a broad spectrum along the middle of the very wide spectrum.

Why are there so many idiots on /biz/ with loud opinions and no factual knowledge?

Yes, because it stifles the possibility of social mobility. Without the promise of social mobility societies like those in Western Europe have to turn to solutions like Socialism in order to maintain internal stability or face class insurrection. If you like living in a Capitalist society you should view income inequality as a long term problem to be mitigated.
