SA aren't moderate though, not even in comparison to Iran, and U.S. support of Syrian rebels led to bad times for Christians, as did unironically opposing Hezbollah. One recent example the terrorist attackers in Sri Lanka were Wahhabist offshoot, ideology which SA promotes, and it killed Christians (but of course Republicans keep quiet about this, for electorate reasons.)
