While wash trading and manipulation on a lot of the shitty, poochang exchanges is rampant (pic related, top, trade size histograms), the exchanges that actually matter (pic related, bottom), the ones that actually make the market long term, don't show signs of manipulation.
Wash trading on idax or coinsuper isn't really moving the market, since they have no coins to dump on other exchanges in the first place.
Volume for all cryptocurrencies is overinflated, and having volume in non-financial markets is good, but that doesn't invalidate the relative rankings of Bitcoin & Monero.
