Britain needed to pause their hikes because the entire bond market was about to implode. And now they have inflation and core inflation higher than 3% over the interest rate. And it was actually STARTING TO CLIMB with 25 bps rate hikes which is why they had to do 50 this time

Everyone seemed to forget that inflation causes inflation. And while QE was cheap easy money for the economy it also made the financial system and pensions and retirement system all built on a stack of cards

The bonds that boomers had bought into these last 15 years are essentially completely worthless.
