Hedge funds hedge with options and shares, if they can’t get shares, then it’s calls and puts. Market makers hedge with options and share. If no shares, then options. I’ve hit with options and I’ve lost with options. If you’re good with the Greeks, you do you. I’m not. If I buy an option it’s always lotto ticket style. Market makers and hedge funds write calls, and write puts. Anything to stay neutral. Out of tis entire saga, holding (in any form) has been a consistent win for me. Gamma ramps do happen but you’d need lots of money, lots, and perfectly timed buying, exercising of options, and share buying. You’re a fool if you think retail caused a gamma squeeze, let alone trying to convince 5 people on here.
