The "We Buy Gold" places you see all over town, especially in the barrios and ghettos, pay on average 40% of spot, and thats after adjusting for karats...

They then sell it to refiners that pay them about 99%, the refiners go thru the aqua regia process and pump out 3x9 or even 4x9 gold and sell it the Mid East...

theres big money to be made there.. but you have a very diverse clientele and risk getting shot and robbed..
