you are creating a pressure differential, if you cut yourself like pinhole with a needle, the blood will form a round shape that is raised above by the surrounding air pressure

you body is at the right pressure, if you pull a fish from the dept, it eyes will pop out because that fish has different internal pressure, if the fish is low dept fish it will be ok
