Is Monero literally the most undervalued cryptocurrency from a usage/network effect perspective? It is arguably the only cryptocurrency available that is actually widely used for its intended purpose, while having world class always-on privacy, and having an emission curve / store-of-value use case only slightly worse than Bitcoin's. If cryptos were ranked according to how useful they actually were in the here and now, XMR would be at least #2 already. The fact that it's not at least $1000 already is simply insane.

Monero is literally digital cash and will only steadily grow in value as it's adopted by people wishing to conduct even the most simple online transactions with the same level of anonymity provided by things like paper money. Thinking it's only good for drugs is incredibly short sighted and ignores just how much use untraceable cash still has in modern economies. That said, it won't be a coin to truly "moon" or 10x anytime soon, but is the only reasonable store of value for any profits or swing trading, as well as the best choice for general transactions. It is the true gold standard of crypto and will only hold it's value better as it's continued to be adopted by privacy advocates and normies alike. Any attempt to ban it will only bring more publicity to it during a time when anti-government sentiment and paranoia is at an all time high, and utterly fail because of how it works as a decentralized systematic reality.

Well I mean I already use XMR for various "goods" that I purchase. /biz/ anons will always try to shill their favorite coin claiming various advantages or gimmicks it may have but at the end of the day, if the coin works well enough to be used practically, the only other thing it needs is widespread adoption to become the standard. XMR has a headstart in this regard as well as BTC and a few others that some websites accept for donations and such.
I suppose the only problem that XMR could face is jew media fudding normalfags saying "the currency of criminals" and shit like that but hopefully that won't scare too many people off. I think it would be a great thing if we were to transition to XMR in terms of privacy. I think the climate is becoming ripe for something like this too since there is a growing distrust in the banks and fiat currency as a whole.

Privacy is necessary for an open society in the electronic age. Privacy is not secrecy. A private matter is something one doesn't want the whole world to know, but a secret matter is something one doesn't want anybody to know. Privacy is the power to selectively reveal oneself to the world.

If two parties have some sort of dealings, then each has a memory of their interaction. Each party can speak about their own memory of this; how could anyone prevent it? One could pass laws against it, but the freedom of speech, even more than privacy, is fundamental to an open society; we seek not to restrict any speech at all. If many parties speak together in the same forum, each can speak to all the others and aggregate together knowledge about individuals and other parties. The power of electronic communications has enabled such group speech, and it will not go away merely because we might want it to.

Since we desire privacy, we must ensure that each party to a transaction have knowledge only of that which is directly necessary for that transaction. Since any information can be spoken of, we must ensure that we reveal as little as possible. In most cases personal identity is not salient. When I purchase a magazine at a store and hand cash to the clerk, there is no need to know who I am. When I ask my electronic mail provider to send and receive messages, my provider need not know to whom I am speaking or what I am saying or what others are saying to me; my provider only need know how to get the message there and how much I owe them in fees. When my identity is revealed by the underlying mechanism of the transaction, I have no privacy. I cannot here selectively reveal myself; I must always reveal myself.

ok I did the calculations. monero hit 0.03/btcxmr ratio at its ath in 2017, that would be $3k/xmr if btc hits $100k and xmr reaches its old btc pair ath
