No, because cloud computing isn't meant for a home user.

Example: You use Netflix, but you don't really realize that everything is run by AWS Amazon. If aws fails (which it has multiple times) than Netflix is also down. If you were to run Netflix on iExec RLC this wouldn't happen of course, because Ethereum would have to fail in order for iExec RLC to fail

Yes

>>29333200
Maybe. If the proposal passes, than yes https://gov.bancor.network/t/proposal-whitelist-the-iexec-rlc-token/684

>>29333700
No, that's what ETH is for. iExec RLC is trying to be the super computer this world needs. In order for us to run smart cities and smart homes and smart cars and other related stuff we need all the computing power we can get. All the data centers in the world aren't enough computing power to be able to run every city in the world as a smart city, therefore we need to somehow use the idle compute power to our advance, therefore we need a DECENTRALIZED cloud where anyone can join and provide said compute power for $$$

iExec memes always give me a comfy futurism vibe.
A lot of people here are excited about the face melting moon, but I'm more excited for the literal singularity (and not the link meme version) which it will facilitate. This shit is going to change the world.
I know it's a meme to say it but I'm in for the tech.

True, but it is an important step towards the listing, because being compliant in burger town means you get to play with the big boys like Nvidia, IBM, Ubisoft, ... Which means burgers will want to buy it and hold it, therefore Coinbase listing is imminent

Depending on the new road map, new partnerships and how the iExec Academy works out it could go to 5-15$ EOY. But in 2021/2022 it'll go much higher than that, since they'll be focusing on enterprise adoption

Let them FOMO in after a 100x
They did it for LINK and now they'll do it for RLC

I agree with this and if you read my comments you would notice I already said this. Thank you for not reading a single thing anyone said.

Decentralization of the cloud is A MUST. Why? Because big data center maintenance is costing a shit load. How much does the maintenance of your computer? It costs exactly 0. Your computer doesn't use up 100% of your CPU/GPU that's why running a RLC node is always viable, because you can make money while browsing your favorite animal porn site.

You got me on the worker pools, yes they aren't running, because ofcourse NO ADOPTION, which is the MAIN PROBLEM WHICH ISN'T EVEN A PROBLEM... Why isn't it a problem? Because imagine the price after a little adoption... See my point?

AGAIN, if you stupid fucks read the comments you'd already see that I'm a programmer so I'm the IT sector. I am an IT anon and I'm laughing at people like you. Other IT anons at my work are all over this shit and are buying the gem. They see that data centers are expensive to run and that running a decentralized cloud is cheaper and more competitive than running a data center. Why? Because the data center cost a lot and that cost is priced into the price of the computing power. On RLC you only pay for the computing power itself, NOT THE FUCKING DATA CENTER MAINTENANCE. So now please explain how running hundreds of data centers all around the world is cheaper than having a lot of personal computers connected to a decentralized cloud that provide their computing power for 0 maintenance cost?
>>21266036
Why is the token not needed? Explain, provide proof/evidence of you explaining how it could work without a token that is run on a decentralized network (ETH), so that it uses the decentralized layer to secure the network itself from people miss-using it?
