Fed will not pivot until all the people saying "Fed will pivot" have roped.

Of course, it's true they're going to inflate the debt away in the end, but they know you were betting on that, hence you were betting against the dollar, hence you must be punished even if they have to destroy Yurop and Weebland to do it.

He's somewhat right in that the dollar is one of the less shitty fiat currencies. Were he is wrong is that, like many dollar and bond bulls he is pro-US biased in his analysis. He says: "the dollar will be strong", meanwhile he is thinking: "I WANT the dollar to be strong because US good Russia/China bad... and me like CNN". You are free to agree with that viewpoint, ofc, my point is simply that he is not an objective thinker.

Hence, he will be right for a while and the USD will be strong (half because of actual FX fundamentals and half because Yellen wants it to be), but the second-order effects of this won't be what he'd expect or predict. You already see this with the Ruble strengthening so much that the Russians have to weaken it. Meanwhile he's salty on twitter shilling the pro-NATO Ukraine dindu nuffin talking points and saying the Ruble is only going up because they're cheating by having an export that everyone wants to buy. He will likewise be surprised by how quickly Dollar TINA breaks down when an alternative to the dollar (new BRICs currency) is actually launched.

I always like contrarian viewpoints that have some support. When everyone is screaming that something is gonna happen, you should probably be curious and research it. Like the people who made tons of money shorting the housing market in 2008. Doesn't mean that "do the opposite of what the majority agrees" is a great business strategy though

Should I quit my second job? My 9-5 nets me 3200 a month after taxes, but working on weekends at a grocery store nets me an additional 400-800 a month (depending on if I work a full weekend or just one day a week)

Kinda burned out, but kinda like the money and I haven't been good with it lately.
