I don’t believe that moore’s law will necessarily correlate to the singularity. In biological evolution there is a concept know as “punctuated equilibrium”. Long eras of nothing happening then suddenly a lot happens at once. This is very apparent in the fossil record. We are still in the era of nothing happens. We just have a few cool toys.
