I don't know what is going to happen with eth- but clearly, at the moment it is a dumpster on fire. I think a lot of people are thinking the exact same way as you. Like you, they are not moving their eth or coins or anything because of the fee. Its the nature of human perceptional biases. They will hold on 50% gains if the fee is 10 or 20%. So what do? Hold and imagine the assets you don't want to take a penalty on will continue to hold value?

This is a "forced hold price support" much like stock warrants or options with liquidation rules. Short-term it makes the charts look great. Kind of like a tub filled with water you want to take a bath in. But sooner or later, the drain is going to get pulled.

The bath can stay filled for a month, or a year. It will empty in 2 minutes if and when the shitshow that comprises the "consensus" in ethereum swallows the crypto-laxative that de-constipates the Tx pool. Can't say when, so don't be surprised when it happens, it will happen very quickly.
