iExec is one of the most important projects in crypto.
iExec makes it possible to port any centralised legacy software built for x86-64 based operating systems, into a dapp. No need to build from the ground up.
That means that every single piece of software that you are currently running on your desktop could in theory become a dapp, and could also take advantage of the distributed cloud resources at the same time for extra computational juice.
In theory one could build a completely revolutionary OS using the iExec ecosystem as its backend. Not only would an OS that leverages the iExec ecosystem for computational power be incredibly secure because of its ability to decentralize and distribute workloads across workers, but it would also
be a highly scalable OS which would allow an individual to run highly intensive computational workloads on something as low powered as a 2 core machine.
ETH created a new kind of architecture for computing, but it's not backwards compatible with legacy software, and as people have said in the past, trying to run something like GTA V on ETH would be like trying to run GTA V on a Commodore 64.
LINK has been the golden child of the past year because it is the heart of DEFI, but DEFI is only one slice of the blockchain pie. The next step will be trying to integrate dapps with legacy systems/software. Stepping up the processing power of dapps so it's all no longer web3 browser based applications,
but instead native OS based applications. iExec will be the core for all this.

yeah kinda, i'm thinking more along the line of a universal operating system, but it would need to leverage off a mature decentralised compute network to work, and Iexec is the best around.
An operating system that can handle, on a quasi native level, both windows and linux binaries, as well as dapps and other block chain native solutions.

yeah, and the market at one point thought that bit-connect was really worth $509.99.

RLC 100% do it.
There are so many flash in the pan tokens like STAKE it offers nothing unique.

"The token doesn't even do anything (could just pay with eth)"
This is why you'll never make it, because like most people in crypto you don't know wtf you're talking about.
