Atomic Swaps are still considered under active research for safety, but people have set up sites to streamline the process. Haven't personally used them yet, but "Unstoppable Swap" seems to be popular. They have very low liquidity though so just keep that in mind with using them.

There's also escrow services on LocalMonero if you want to transact privately.

>Please Don t use pics that link crimes with Monero

Superior privacy tech and criminal adoption go hand in hand, Monero has been linked to crime since the darknet markets started adopting it and this association will only get more pronounced as major crime syndicates begin adopting it.

In other words, no matter what we say or do, no matter whether we like it or not, Monero will inevitably be characterized as a "crimecoin" by governments and the media, so as libertarian shitposters we may as well wryly acknowledge it with zero-fucks given.

It was inevitable, Monero is just too damn valuable to the criminal underworld.

>Why would they put a bounty on it if it were impossible?

Because they gotta try. And the fact that the IRS had to outsource the job to a couple of commercial entities just shows how futile the whole endeavor is.

>Doesn't this just confirm it will be cracked one day, and that everyone holding it will inevitably be taxed?

No, it just means they're trying to crack it and will almost certainly fail at doing so.

In case you haven't noticed, nobody who actually understands the inner workings of XMR is the slightest bit worried.

>exchanges are going to de-list it because of its bad reputation

Its unlikely that every single exchange in the world would delist Monero and even if that happened atomic swaps mitigate the worst effects of such an eventuality.

Basically, instead of:

>Exchange -> XMR

You'd just need an additional step:

>Exchange ->BTC/LTC/whatever -> XMR

>but governments hate it so it will probably never go up in price

Governments hate XMR because its too effective.

Criminals love XMR because its so effective.

Criminals are also part of an enterprise that globally generates $2 trillion annually. Do the math and you'll understand why the price will eventually hit 5 figures.

>The feds are practically screaming at people to invest all their net worth in XMR, and idiots here still don't get it.

After enough people have been publicly burned for using Bitcoin, the tide will start to turn. The darknet is years ahead of the curve in this respect.
