You mean buy something that is short the market I presume. There are inverse ETFs for every major index and then there is buying pits in the index ETFs or futures. Since you asked I know you don’t trade futures so may I suggest checking out puts in QQQ. That’s my current position; pic related.

the Nasdaq tends to be the highest beta index cause meme tech so that’s what I’m short.
