As true as this can be, it's very risky to "fake" an injury. Especially since you could rack up a bunch of small injuires (muh toe, muh scars, muh burns) and still only get about ~$300 extra a month. Even then you still need pretty solid proof. What's wrong for getting compensated for getting hurt on the job? Doesn't any respectable company do that? All bias aside, when it is deserved, it is deserved. I hate exploits and welfare queens as much as the next guy, but what good am I doing to society by not trying my hardest to improve it?

Granted, many military men, and disgustingly military women (muh pregnancy, oops) can get a lot of benefits such as the GI BILL and VA loan for doing a very relaxed 4 year term. It's very sad.
