Can you buy a house under an LLC, rent it out to yourself and then claim it as a loss?

Consulting firms, especially big ones like Deloitte, recruit heavily from top schools like the ivys. I was in one of the lower-tier ivys for undergrad, and it’s a great starting point for someone right out of college. Everyone I knew who got a consulting job right out of their bachelor’s is doing very well now - much better than me. I was a retard and went and got a PhD. Consulting is all bullshit, but you still often have a lot of work to do, compiling information and meeting/presenting to clients. If you’re not handsome/charming/winsome, it’s more of an uphill battle, but mathy quantitative types can also do well if they’re not total spurgs
