"The 0xBTC mining protocol is used for distribution and not for security. We pay ethereum tx fees and in doing so we are paying the Ethereum network for security. And yeah it's crazy how dead simple it is, BTC was amazing and the fact that it still commands so much of the market share speaks to its influence, so going with the philosophy of if it aint broke, don't fix it; it makes sense to have pretty much the exact same for the next iteration.

Honestly the point worth making is moreso that ETH is worthy of the flippening and pretty much always has; but the disconnect between it being a currency, and its intended use as a global code network - kind of crippled its function for a while. 0xBTC is a really simple yet stupid effective solution to the problem, or at least the best I've seen. If there's a better way to implement Bitcoin on Ethereum than this, I'd gladly shill for that instead and I hope it happens before this gains too much traction. But for now it's pretty fucking awesome as it is.
