I don't know why he's ranting about Tolkien when the whole point of the Lord of the Rings was creating a mythology for the English, which are a fusion of Christianity and Paganism. I mean, we can all get uppity on the details. Why are we still calling it Paganism when it's supposed to be Heathenism (Paganism is a Latin term not Germanic). Why are we still calling it Norse mythology when it's Germanic mythology (it's called Norse mythology because the Germanic pantheon was the most venerated by the Norsemen). I don't see the point in focusing on these things because stories for the most part are supposed to be transformative.
