And the current expectation is that the price will increase in anticipation of SIBOS. Though if I'm being honest, it's being manipulated like mad right now by whales and bots. So I'm not sure what answer I can give.

If there is low demand and a high cap that can't/won't be met, then why would people buy the tokens after the ICO? Unless you're determined to hold for a long time, you'll be left holding.

Take a look at Ethbet: there really isn't a demand, so people who bought in assuming that the really low hard cap would make it easy to flip have learned that they'll be holding it for awhile.
