if you're not congruent with yourself and have deep unresolved issues, it will bring them to the forefront
I've seen people break down from it so I choose to do it alone.

It is not to be administered to someone with a risk of psychosis or who is in a pre-psychotic state of mind.

That being said, if you are spiritually congruent and don't have deep unresolved ignored issues, imbibing the substance can really serve to help you see things differently and explore novel ways of imagining and your outlook on life

I had a religious experience on salvia in university, was with two of my college roommates and we all grabbed some salvia to try.
We took turns and they both had pretty bad breakdowns with one even crying and sobbing afterwards
When it was my turn, my vision filled with fractals, and the geometries took the form of entities. There were two entities in the room with me (what I later realized is that these two entities were remote-controlling my roommates and siphoning off their energies). It wasn't scary or anything, they simply noticed that I could see them and commented as such to each other.

Then the real trip began, I was pulled out of my body, out of our dorm, out of the city, out of the world, and eventually to the edges of the universe. I was pulled out further and saw that it was all bound within a red blood cell. I finally saw that it was all bound within the blood cell of Jesus. He looked at me and nodded his head in acknowledgement. I nodded back, as in agreement with that he was showing me. I then fell into his eyes and came out of the trip.
