Just paid my $4,500 tax bill, $190 was the penalty for not paying estimated quarterly taxes. At least my portfolio is still up $8,500 ytd

OH SHIT IT'S 3PM ON A THURSDAY I BETTER SELL ALL MY SEMICONDUCTOR STOCKS BECAUSE OBVIOUSLY THE SECTOR IS TOTALLY DEAD NOW

Literally no one except huge retards is thinking this right now. Genuinely one of the dumbest fucking selloffs since August of last year. Bears will once again find out what happens when they short based on no real negative information.

I'm so fucking tired of this stimulus bullshit rocking the markets back and forth. It's so utterly retarded to me that anyone, algorithms included, could still be basing their investment decisions on whether or not a stimulus deal is passed. It's so arbitrary at this point and pretty much guaranteed to pass within the next... 6 months? Unless Nancy Pelosi and Mitch McConnell seriously want to lose all support they still have, they WILL pass a stimulus bill at some point. Jesus fucking christ I'm so tired of this back and forth.

I'll ask one more time before I fuck off of this general for a while. Should I sell all of my stinkers at a loss right now before this clown market continues to slowly fuck me? I've swung from being up 12% to now up 2.8% and none of it has been on anything more substantial than fearmongering headlines. WKHS is my best play right now (up 230%) followed by NAIL (+39%) and SSL (+17%) but otherwise every time I buy into something it just slowly crabs red.

Is there anything at all that I can do other than watch Robintrack and bank on random nonsense to magically pump stocks 400%? I've only got $2500 invested because that's all I'm okay with losing, so I can't really buy shares of blue chip stuff - which is oddly what a lot of people on here recommend, even though there are a lot of lower level investors here looking for genuine advice on how to get enough money to start investing in that stuff.

inb4 "u don't know what ur doing fuck off to reddit" - so tired of people coming on a general specifically dedicated to trading just to talk shit and not provide any real advice. Sorry you got bullied in middle school but take it out on people that actually deserve it instead of your compatriots

How is it that stocks make drastic moves on literally no relevant news? I refuse to believe that institutional investors holding millions of shares of shit like AMPY and IVR are selling at random when they just bought more like a month ago. Don't give me that "institutional investors hold a bit of everything" meme because no one puts millions of dollars into something just for shits and giggles. Are these coordinated trend lines the result of a continuous shakeout of weak hands retail investors?? There doesn't appear to be any fundamental reason for things to move in sync like they have been

hey this is my first time on /biz/ and I really don't want to annoy anyone but I acquired 10,000 dollars and I want to make it grow, I was thinking of course mutual funds but I'm not sure anyone want to give me any advice?

I'm a nervous wreck, I have literally no idea what to do with it.
