Story time.

Back in the early 90s I got out of the Navy and looked forward to college. Got into school, headed for a business degree and mba. After two years of school I dropped out and started trading on the new internet platform. I started with about 5k and by Y2K I had over 3.5M. My shlub brother worked every day and for Christmas that year I paid off his house...a mere 75k.
I quit trading and did some world traveling for a couple years ...it was actually fun for a thirty some year old guy. But you wouldn’t believe how fast money gets spent when you don’t pay attention, so I went back to trading. Only now it was a bear market and I didn’t adjust well and lost all my money...and was hooked on drugs and alcohol. The idle mind needed stimulation then depressing daily and it developed into a habit. Started selling pills and got busted by the DEA and ended up doing two years in prison. When I got out, guess where I lived? Yeah, my brothers basement...and i had to drive a cab for years just to keep up with probation and have a paycheck.
Over the past few years I’ve made a lot of it back and I’m grateful to those that helped me. But I still do driving work on weekends to keep reminded and grounded.

Be careful what you wish for (but I’m sure you’re better than me so it’ll never happen to you)

I didn’t sell at 7500 like my dad told me...I promised this time would be different and I would listen to reason, but I didn’t....it’s over now isn’t it...I don’t want to fail like before back in Jan 2018 when I fell for the hodl meme...

Went to rehab 10 years ago and one thing stuck with me with what my counselor told me.
He was kinda astonished that we were unemployed junkies yet always had spare cash to buy dope. One of my cellies said yeah we can make money when we put our mind to it...then the counselor said ‘lock yourself in a room or business venture; read, practice and perfect a skill and put your energy to positive use’

When I got out I obsessed over learning trading, specifically forex. I failed for the first few years yet succeeded over time. Millionaire now.

There are blacklisting of people, particularly in niche fields like mine. I’m a pharmacist and all the local district and regional managers for Walgreens, CVS etc talk to each other as well as talk to state board members all the time, and they all know who the black sheep are.
Not sure what your profession is OP but companies are on the ‘minority and women preferred’ type hiring now so it may not be you per se. Just keep trying...if you keep getting interviews you’re not on a blacklist but getting fired from a previous job is never good.
Look for a smaller independent type business for what you do, they’re more likely to overlook that shit.
