boomers are unironically right, either way this is a phase of civilisation that's characterised by hedonism and laziness, why bother passing down your wealth when the next generation will also just wallow in hedonism and laziness anyways? you might as well use it up yourself, the next phase is going to be social collapse, invasions and civil wars anyways, does it matter if you pissed away wealth or your kids did? not really right, might as well get the best out of this phase while you can before the next phase hits
