My main positions are all MSFT, QQQ, FB, AMD, etc. short puts for Jan. 8, so they need to be closed anyways and reopening positions now makes no sense.

Also I got bogged for 10k this month on a miscalculation (BABA) and need to reflect on that for a day or two.

I will reopen everything on monday next week. Here I have to pay taxes in the year I open short poistions and since my strategy is short puts I will have to pay the taxes in 18 months, not six months.

I'll give you a word of advice. Stick to tourist cities. This isn't like Europe where every small town has 400 years of buildings and unique stuff. Small Jap towns usually look exactly the same. They had wooden houses till WW2 and these disappeared and made room for the same concrete bunkers.
This is why, despite their size, there also really... isn't so much to see even in big cities.

It's fun for it's uniqueness and difference to the west. It is also nice in smaller towns like Matsumoto and Japs are nice but still, don't be disappointed when it isn't a cultural coral reef of colour and flavours every 30 kilometers, but more like an American inner city with funny things.

Is it great? Yes. Kyoto, Tokyo, Matsumoto, Arimaonsen, etc.
Is it blowing your mind? Probably not.

Usually yes, but right now we have really nothing to go on. Id like to discuss real stuff and usually do but this market is just fucked. I have no idea. Could go anywhere. Trump dies and market goes up. NYC is nuked and it goes... up? Giant bail out for all companies and market crashes? No idea.
