Gaming CAN be a good hobby but only if it's a means for you to be social, make friends, or have something to do with them sometimes.

Hanging with your bros to play games and be competitive from time to time is just like watching sports, playing cards, etc. Just a hobby like any other. In fact, it can encourage you to work your ass off and earn money because setting a nice gaming lair (huge screen, a comfy sofa for your living room to hang out, etc) is expensive as fuck.

There's a difference between playing games socially and being a game addict loner neet. You can play games as an adult or as a manchild.

But yea honestly there are better things you can do with your time.
