Harmony is a sharding protocol with a trustless Ethereum bridge.

Their developers use Ethereum tooling such as Solidity and Ether.js. Users use Metamask to store and they use their bridge to swap Harmony and Ethereum assets. They've achieved 2-second finality for fast transactions and support 1000 delegating stakers for secure shards.

A cross-chain Uniswap port is already live on their mainnet. Similar to Layer-2 protocols, Harmony is now fully interoperable with the Ethereum ecosystem. They are positioning themselves as the testbed for ETH 2.0 with how easy it is to port dapps between the two platforms.

If you look at that spreadsheet carefully, you can understand why the price had dumped for 2 straight years. The VC investors that gave them their 18 mil in funding at the start of the project, were getting bi-yearly payouts of 700mil ONE. This was constant sell pressure. They received their last payout last November, and the team is incentivized to see the product succeed with their unlocks through 2025. This token is at 200mil mcap while equivalent platforms are at 2 billion. This is at least a 10x from here, even more if you consider that Charles Hoskinson acknowledged Harmony.
