Nuclear is only useful with mass electrification. Most of our transportation using liquid fuels. Now consider mass electrification requires massive buildout of mines for copper and lithium and shit and now consider that the same people PUSHING for mass electrification for muh planet are the same ones that are against mining.
Nuclear is good. But it doesn't solve the fundamental problem of a civilization that basis its very existance off of oil not having access to MORE oil, but rather LESS oil. In the future our economy will collapse. Not literally mad max, but rather our economy will have to simplify as we simply do not have enough oil to satisfy demand.
