Precious metals are a scam

1) Gold is a non-performing asset. When you invest in stocks or something, your money is actually doing work in the economy, when you invest in gold it's sitting around inert.
2) The gold supply is NOT fixed, in fact it's probably set to increase drastically with new mines being found all the time, and new drilling technologies.
3) Gold is absolutely useless in a world where rule of law breaks down. You would probably want food and medical equipment instead.
4) Gold is not as easily divisible or easy to carry around as a credit card is. This entire argument is completely specious as if we don't live in a digital age.
