to put it into perspective, look at the margin of that vein, the host rock away from the quartz, and how much visible gold is peppering that black rock. That is probably over 10ozpt ore on its own, the vein material is in the pounds per ton.

you cant use any equipment in the park zone other than a pan and shovel, and most of that areas still claimed for placer, so go find a nice hidden little area and go dig. look for places previous old miners worked, hand piled rock walls and such, look above and below those.

hang on i may actually still have some of the ore floating around in my shed. It wont be insane gold quartz but its still pretty good stuff. If anything thats approaching the same grades as the gold found in the Beta Hunt mine in Australia. Pic is ore from that discovery.

I spend most of my summers prospecting for gold on placer and hard rock mineral claims in BC Canada, this season I ve been focused on my claims in the Caribou gold district around the towns of Wells and Likely BC. I find claims, prove them up and sell them or work them myself for a profit. Panning is only one part of what I do. Right now I am working for someone else as a consultant helping them figure out the ground they are working.

a junior miner is basically a mining / exploration company focused on proving up or exploiting a mineral resource, either to sell on to a larger company or to work themselves with or without major backing. There are hundreds of them, but only a few of them ever actually succeed in the ultimate goal.
>>21738981
yes i was very pleased with their latest results, 40 gpt is nothing to scoff at!

hello there all!
Since it refuses to stop raining I ve been borred and compiled a list of miners that you can copy pasta, its not long and I can add more juniors to the list later. Please note though I really do have a leaf bias as thats my particular area of expertise, so if I ve missed any other major discoveries outside my bubble mention them.

Ok, its all to do with geology.

Basically Gold is down under the crust at the contact of the mantle in a brine fluid with other metals. This brine works its way up into rocks a 25-40 km below the surface. each time a fault opens the pressure shoots this brine into the faults and generates ore veins. These than take moments or centuries to cool into ore that than with mountain building are exposed to the surface and weather into creeks or surface soil.
Gold and other precious metals can be associated with volcanic activity, but its a lot more nuanced than just volcano = gold.

If glaciation happens, the mountains the gold and other metals are locked in are ground down, and the gold is deposited by streams under the ice into channels where it remains after the ice leaves.

Its even odder if you get into how nuggets form, many times, they basically grow in the near surface rock near ore bodies.

amazing mate keep at it! a kid found one of those lost reefs way out in the northeast if I recall last year, came out with like 60 ounces in course quartz gold. Than theres that canadian owned hardrock mine that discovered that huge lode ore vein by accident last year too. Something like 1200 ounces and up in each boulder they were pulling out?? I really should just spend a season or two in australia and see what I find.
