I'm far enough into a Web3 project where we're seeking funding, and do you know what sucks? Pretty much our only option is VCs/private rounds.
It's fucking bullshit than in 2023 we can't do an ICO. Literally $5m would get our project to v1 completion, we could crowdsource that instantly if we could do a proper ICO.
But instead we have to go with profit maxi VCs who will no doubt squeeze us to try and maximise profit instead of making something that is actually good, that people will enjoy, and that will profit even more in the long run, because people actually use it.
The system of incentives is completely fucked, and the fact that more of the industry don't complain about the death of ICOs shows how many of them are happy to be in the pockets of VCs and don't actually care about any of this.

Problem/Reaction/Solution.
They will burn the S&P500 into the ground, and when everything is lying in ruins and everyone is saying "we need a system that stops this from ever happening again" what do you think will emerge from the ruins?
