>imagine putting your wealth in a system created and maintained by humans
might as well put all your money in fiat, take it out in cash and stack it as high as you can on a distribution transformer
see how long it takes before all your stored productivity vanishes into nothing

At the end of the day what the banker and the miner does is to control the financial system.
Anyone who controls a financial system will face a very angry crowd if they do not please the masses.
Miners may just end up having to face the decision of double spending and blocking transactions or death - much like the bankers who are caught between an angry pitchfork crowd who would undoubtedly kill them if things got bad enough and a mathematical reality of whits end at the other.

This is why we will always revert to gold at the end of every currency collapse - gold, unlike Bitcoin/fiat cannot be controlled from the top down. No amount of computing power, political power or military power will ever allow you to print it or block it's transactions, save killing all it's transactors.

Bitcoin thus is no different from the banking system of today - in both system it is might that makes right. In one a might of hash, the other the might of swords. Of course in the end hash will either bend to the sword or sword will bend to hash.
Bitcoin is a kratocracy through and through. It will lead to nothing but bloodshed and tyranny.

am I wrong in my thinking here?
