Can any UK anon clarify how the CGT annual allowance works? I've been only looking at sovereigns and Britannias which are CGT exempt because of this, but could I actually buy say some decent size gold bars which have lower premiums and indeed sell up to £12,300 worth a year later on before having to pay any CGT on it?
