Reminder the fed balance sheet goes back to the treasury. So the treasury is issuing debt to itself to collect from itself. All those payments on the treasuries the fed has goes to the treasury as income. Reminder most of that debt is short term and will be matured soon. Even with deficient spending the yearly amount is easily managed even with rising rates.
