/smg/ I got margin called in Questrade today, how often does this happen? I was only called on $600 which was peanuts after I sold some of my positions but wtf is the point of margin if they are just going to make you cover it after 1 day? Also the deadline was tomorrow and their platform was down at the time so I couldn't even access my account lol. Seems like a fucking scam to me.

Here's the price of Hot Coil Rolled Steel versus the relative value of the main producers, couple that with a glut in supply and I see the price increasing even further. The risk is that Biden removes the tariffs, but that won't happen until late Feb.

So stock prices for Steel producers were much higher in December '09, why did they also not increase by much in December '18?

The price of hot rolled coil steel has surpassed 1k. Dec of '09 the price was at $875. And MT was $103, CLF was $87, X was 53. So now its even higher that it was in '09 and production has been low due to covid. What do you think is going to to happen?
