Got the silver proof sets? I just about finished the ATB series, only need 2018 reverse and I've got every silver State and America the Beautiful proof quarter. Those were fun but some of those ATB sets are REALLY gettting pricey.

Makes sense, 2020 is the most expensive silver proof set right now at about $150. Probably had to do with kung-flu shenanigans, it only has 313,184 copies made according to the red book. 2021 could be even worse considering how unpopular it was with collectors (MUCH higher issue price with less quarters, also issued during shit Biden economy) AND it's the final set of the ATB series but we won't know until sales numbers are finally given. Judging by the mint website they're still sitting on unsold inventory, seems like they'll have it for a while as well considering they just increased the price from $105 to $130.
If you really want the 2020 set, check ebay for sets MISSING the nickel and lowball offer the seller. The mint threw in a reverse proof nickel in a baggy so the set is technically "incomplete" without it, I was able to get a set for $118 because of that.

Yes Hawaii volcanoes are absolutely glorious, makes the 2012 set almost worth the insane asking price it currently has. Anything below S tier for that would just be distasteful, the sculptor really knocked that one out of the park in every aspect. Block Island is another really high one for me just looking at the circulated issues, really want a silver proof version to see the design in full glory.

Well then here's most interesting thing I have to say about my most recent purchase:
The 2020 silver proof set is looking to be contender for the most expensive proof set (until we have a population report of the 2021 set, could be even worse). According to the Red Book, the 2020 set has the lowest population report of any standard silver proofset, at only 313,184 copies. Biggest factor likely was Covid, people didn't have money to go spending on silver when the government forced them to stop working. And when people DID get money they were more likely to hoard entertainment, guns, or food. It's already at about $150 on eBay, and climbing fast.
However, you CAN get it for cheaper thanks to one factor: The reverse proof nickel. They weren't included in the actual slab, but WERE included in the shipping box. So while not having the nickel is TECHNICALLY an incomplete purchase, it's not something that changes the actual box set itself. Because of that, if you find a set that doesn't have the nickel you can usually lowball offer for it. I got a set for only $118 on eBay that way. But I'd only recommend this if you HAVE to complete the full series, honestly 2020 on its own is really weak. Other than the haha bat soup meme quarter the designs are pretty dull for that year, probably another factor for the low sales.
2021 might get even worse since the mint charged more for it and only included two quarters, likely turning off a lot of sales. But right now think you can still get it straight from the US mint website.

Heads up, anybody that's interested in completing the silver America the beautiful coin series might want to go for 2020 and 2021 first. They seem to have had lower mintages overall due to higher prices and shit economy, 2020 is especially pricey and rising fast. You can however negotiate a lower price, they came with a reverse proof nickel in a bag as an order bonus and sets with them are typically $150-$165, but if you find a set without it you can often get it $125 or lower. I offered $118 for a set without one and the seller accepted.

This set in particular though isn't really worth it on its own, but only as part of the series. Unless the bat being minted in the same year the state used Bat soup as an excuse for the Chinese bioweapon that was a premise for forced vaccinations and small business erasure is THAT hilarious to you. Honestly these coins are just dull, they're too uninteresting for me to even write a review about. Tallgrass prairie is the clear winner in design and sculpt but that's really about it. The only value this offers is to have the complete ATB collection or the bat soup meme.
